What was that? I thought I was having a trip or something… This is one of those commercials that spells “low budget” all the way and doesn’t even begin to reflect the quality of the handset. Bad, bad, bad!

Nokia E72 has just been announced and there’s already a commercial available for it, showing the device’s messaging features in action. Neat tune in the background, friendly graphics… all you need to fall in love with a non-Blackerry device, for both business and pleasure.

Nokia N97 “Don’t Call it a Comeback!” Ad

It’s one thing to advertise Sony Ericsson music phones by using trance and house tunes, but it’s a matter of bad taste to promote the new Nokia N97 smartphone by using rap mixed with the classic Nokia theme. Maybe you’ve heard that this handset comes with a 400+ MHz processor, one of the most disappointing aspects of the phone… Will it fail, like the ad below did?

Nokia Bluetooth Stereo Headset BH-905 Promo

Nokia just introduced a state of the art Bluetooth stereo headset, the BH-905 model, advertised in the video below. The main appeal of this accessory is its noise cancellation technology, that eliminates the background noise and was created by Wolfson Microelectronics. It’ll be available in August for 285 euros, but now let’s get back to the soothing video below and its flowing graphics:

Nokia defines quality, when it comes to handsets and mobile phone commercials and this time we’ve got a sample of the Romanian culture and rural atmosphere in an interesting ad. Rural communities might seem obsolete and out of the technology’s reach, but they sure can use a mobile!

Here’s yet another brilliant Nokia commercial, relying on the emotional side of experiencing media and content thanks to Nokia N95. The background song is also great as it’s part of the “Everything is Illuminated” soundtrack, a great, great movie featuring Gogol Bordello’s singer.

“Nokia: We Recycle, Did You?” Promotional Spot

It surprised me to find out that only 3% of phone owners recycle their handsets and 74% of handset users never think about recycling a mobile phone. Also, 50% of people didn’t even know that it’s possible to recycle mobile phones. Awareness campaign needed? Yes sir! And that’s what Nokia does in the video below.

Want to witness the emotion and hard labour behind the development of Nokia N97? We’ve got a neat promotional video below, showing the “blood, sweat and tears”, that preceded Nokia’s first touchscreen smartphone that packs a QWERTY keyboard. Those beautiful landscapes are surely worth the while, but the handset… well, that’s something else.

Although this commercial should be funny, it’s the type of humour that goes into the “Epic Fail” category, since it didn’t even make me smile. Aggressive laptop biting people? Is Nokia struck by a creativity crisis?
